we are deeply excited to be so close to opening this bathhouse—we started work on it 3 years ago and this summer we'll finally be able to share it with you : ) we believe in bathing as a communal act and are creating this bathhouse as a place to celebrate leisure, pleasure, community, reality, shared space... bathing that's anti-exclusive, not geared towards productivity or optimization, logged-off, and embodied.
we are turning to you, our community, friends & family to help us wrap up the fundraising of this project. we hope that you'll see it as an investment in a future full of closed eyes floating in the rooftop tub, sweating together in the cedar sauna, friends clutching each other in the cold plunge. on some days, the coming future can feel hard to celebrate but we hope to be able to provide a bright spot of warmth and welcome for recovery or celebration—like the feeling of some sun to warm us up.
